CareTrust REIT (CTRE) said Monday that it has closed its $840.5 million acquisition of UK-based healthcare real estate investment trust Care REIT, marking its foray into the British market.
The acquisition adds 132 care homes to CareTrust's portfolio, the company said.
The company said it updated its 2025 guidance to include the impact of the acquisition on its earnings.
CareTrust said it now expects 2025 net income of approximately $1.42 to $1.45 per share, and normalized funds from operations of approximately $1.75 to $1.78 per share, higher than previous forecasts of $1.36 to $1.40 in net income per share and $1.69 to $1.73 in normalized FFO. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $1.42 and $1.78, respectively.
The company also said it now expects normalized funds available for distribution of approximately $1.75 to $1.78 per share, from the previous range of $1.73 to $1.77.
Shares of CareTrust REIT were down 2.1% in recent trading.
