Brazil's fourth largest city, Belo Horizonte, votes to approve a Bitcoin-related bill

According to Bitcoin.com, lawmakers in Belo Horizonte, the fourth largest city in Brazil, have passed a groundbreaking bill aimed at turning the city into an innovation hub for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin companies. The bill provides incentives for businesses accepting Bitcoin payments and pledges to prominently display these businesses in city advertising. Additionally, the bill promotes educational activities to help residents adapt to this digital transformation. The bill was approved with 20 votes in favor, 8 against, and 6 abstentions. Currently, the bill will be submitted to the mayor's office for final approval.
