艾维从学生时代首次接触苹果产品讲起，回忆起初代Macintosh电脑给他带来的震撼。他强调，苹果的设计工作深深植根于公司文化，强调共情与协作。艾维提到，设计团队每周共进午餐，轮流为彼此做早餐，这种非正式的交流方式有助于建立深厚的个人关系，并直接体现在产品的细节中。

在苹果期间，艾维领导了iMac、iPod、iPhone和Apple Watch等标志性产品的开发。他特别提到，产品设计中的细微之处至关重要，如苹果产品的包装设计，都体现了对用户的尊重和关怀。艾维引用了乔布斯的话：“你可以通过你的作品向人类表达感激之情。”
