消息面上，近日，小米汽车又陷入舆论漩涡，众多车主要求退车。据第一财经报道，多名SU7 Ultra准车主认为，其高价选装的碳纤维双风道前舱盖存在虚假宣传问题。5月7日晚间，小米汽车公开致歉并推出补偿方案，但不少消费者并不认可这一方案，进行无损退车维权。报道称，多名SU7 Ultra准车主组建了维权群，进行无损退车维权的人数已超过300人。此外，小米公司董事长雷军在其个人社交平台发声，称“过去一个多月，是创办小米以来最艰难的一段时间”。此时距3月29日小米SU7高速爆燃事故过去不足两个月。
