1428 ET - Molson Coors is making non-alcoholic beverages a key focus area as it looks to build a more comprehensive beverage portfolio that can fit a wide range of consumer preferences, CEO Gavin Hattersley says on a call with analysts. Doing so can help the company capture more drinking occasions, particularly among Gen Z customers who are the legal drinking age but looking to stay sober, the CEO says. Hattersley adds that this approach will lean on Zoa, the zero-sugar energy drink brand co-founded by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson that Molson acquired a majority stake in last year, as well alcohol-adjacent products like Fever-Tree, the beverage maker Molson took an 8.5% stake in earlier this year.
