The C-HR+ is Toyota’s latest electric SUV to launch in Norway, where nearly all cars sold today are EVs. Toyota calls it “the perfect electric SUV for Norwegian roads,” with a spacious interior and up to 373 miles (600 km) driving range.

The C-HR+ is Toyota’s third electric SUV in Norway

The C-HR is back and better than ever. After discontinuing the gas-powered model in 2022, Toyota unveiled the CH-R+ in March, a smaller electric SUV to sit below the bZ4X.

Although the retired gas model was used as inspiration, Toyota upgraded it with a stylish new design, more interior space, and much more.

Based on its e-TNGA EV platform, the C-HR+ has an extended wheelbase (2,750 mm), opening up more cabin space. Behind the rear seats, there is nearly 15 cubic feet (416 liters) of cargo room, more than the hybrid model, which has up to 13.6 cubic feet (388 liters).

You can clearly see the design is a drastic upgrade from the outgoing hybrid model with a sleek coupe-crossover-like profile. The rear window is integrated into the spoiler, giving it a sporty look.

It features Toyota’s new style, shown on updated cars like the Corolla, Crown, and Prius. However, the front bumper, grille, and headlights are all exclusive.

On Friday, Toyota’s new electric SUV officially debuted in Norway. Piotr Pawlak, president of Toyota Northern Europe, announced, “Today, we celebrated the highly anticipated Norwegian premiere of the Toyota C-HR+.”

According to Pawlak, the C-HR+ “is more than just a vehicle —it’s a statement,” with fast charging capabilities, 600 km of driving range, and much more.

Toyota’s electric SUV is available in Norway with two battery options, 57.7 kWh or 77 kWh, providing a WLTP range of up to 373 miles (600 km). The smaller battery (57.7 kWh) is exclusively available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) while the longer-range (77 kWh) model is offered in FWD or AWD powertrains.

Inside, the C-HR+ features a 12.3″ infotainment system, an advanced driver assistance system, and a panoramic sunroof.

Safety features like a Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive High-Beam headlights, and a Parking Support Brake are standard. Higher trims gain Park Assist and a Panoramic View Monitor.

The C-HR+ will join the smaller Urban Cruiser and larger bZ4X electric SUVs to complete Toyota’s lineup in Norway and across Europe. In January, the bZ4X was the top-selling EV in Norway.

You can now reserve the C-HR+ in Norway. Prices will be revealed shortly. According to Toyota’s website, sales are expected to start in August 2025.
