Odaily星球日报讯 根据马来西亚副能源转型与水务转型部长 Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir 的披露，自 2018 年以来，非法加密货币挖矿活动导致该国电力公司 Tenaga Nasional Berhad（TNB）累计损失约 34 亿林吉特（约合 7.77 亿美元）的电力资源。这些非法矿工通过绕过电表、私接电缆等方式窃取电力，以支持高功耗的挖矿设备运行。 为打击此类行为，马来西亚当局加强了执法力度。2024 年 8 月，霹雳州警方在 Perak Tengah 地区使用压路机销毁了 985 台非法比特币挖矿设备，价值约 198 万林吉特（约合 45 万美元）。此前，警方还在雪邦地区逮捕了 7 名涉嫌窃电挖矿的人员，并查获了 52 台挖矿机和其他电子设备，价值约 25 万林吉特。（CoinDesk）
