Trade Minister Don Farrell has downplayed the significance of the US-UK trade deal, which does not stop British exports to America being slugged with a 10 per cent tariff.
Farrell, who will be re-sworn into the portfolio next week, said his priority was to keep lobbying for US President Donald Trump’s 10 per cent tariff on Australian goods to be removed, noting that Australia’s starting point for negotiations was more advanced than Britain’s.
