Emperador's Net Income Rises 6.5% in Q1

Emperador's (SGX:EMI, PSE:EMI) net income attributable to owners rose 6.5% in the first quarter to 1.85 billion Philippine pesos from a year ago, according to a Wednesday Philippine bourse filing.

The global brandy and whisky conglomerate said it is accelerating global growth by adding 470 hectares of vineyards in Spain, while it is also expanding in Mexico, and doubling its distillery capacity in Scotland.
