Viasat (VSAT) said Wednesday it has selected Blue Origin as its launch mission partner to support a demonstration of its InRange launch telemetry relay service as part of its work with NASA's communications services project.
Viasat said its space missions team will work with Blue Origin on two future launches of its New Glenn space vehicle.
The missions are part of a NASA effort to transition orbital communication users from its system to commercial solutions, the company said.
Shares of the company were up by nearly 1% in premarket trading.
