Ford Motor (F) is recalling up to 273,789 Navigator and Expedition vehicles from model years 2022 to 2024 due to a possible loss of brake function, a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA, has shown.
The automaker said front brake lines may come into contact with the engine air cleaner outlet pipe and get damaged, potentially resulting in a brake fluid leak and a loss of front brake function.
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the affected brake line or air cleaner outlet pipe at no cost to owners, the NHTSA notification said.
