Emperador Expands Vineyard Portfolio in Europe, Mexico

Emperador (SGX:EMI) expanded its vineyard portfolio in Spain with the addition of 470 hectares of farmland and in Scotland by doubling its distillery footprint, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Wednesday.

In Mexico, the company made an acquisition of mescal brands, Los Danzantes and Alipus from Destileria Los Danzantes through its subsidiary, Casa Pedro Domecq.

Meanwhile, the expansion of UK operations will double the footprint to 92 hectares and will allow the company to house an additional 1.5 million casks of maturing whisky.
