IBM and Finanz Informatik have announced the extension and expansion of their collaboration through a new contract aimed at enhancing the digital transformation of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The agreement focuses on leveraging IBM's AI, automation, and hybrid cloud technologies to modernize Finanz Informatik's software and hardware infrastructure. This includes deploying IBM's energy-efficient mainframe and high-end Power servers, as well as AI solutions from the watsonx portfolio to deliver real-time insights and security services. The collaboration aims to ensure sustainability, support growing capacity requirements, and enhance cyber resilience in compliance with the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). The expanded partnership promises long-term planning security and economic advantages for Finanz Informatik, benefiting its more than 340 savings banks and network partners.
