智通财经APP获悉，葛兰素史克(GSK.US)将以高达20亿美元的现金收购Boston Pharmaceuticals主要资产——治疗肝病的实验性药物efimosfermin alfa。葛兰素史克周三表示，Boston Pharmaceuticals开发的这种治疗方法已准备进入临床试验的最后阶段，有可能成为治疗一种脂肪肝疾病的一流药物。
由于一些顶级药物面临专利到期，人们担心与竞争对手相比，葛兰素史克的股票走势艰难，这家英国制药商正寻求支持其新药的研发。葛兰素史克表示，将为efimosfermin alfa药物预付12亿美元，并有可能额外支付总计8亿美元的分期付款。
