Great Divide Mining (ASX:GDM) said new light detection and ranging data interpretation, as well as previous exploration data, were used to identify and prioritize gold-bearing targets Devil's Mountain gold project in Queensland for further follow-up exploration work, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

It acquired the LiDAR dataset from the Queensland government, and interpretation of the data was undertaken by specialist GeoCloud Analytics.

The interpretation indicated a total of 486 historical mine workings, comprised of 40 adits, 16 shafts, and 430 other prospecting pits, within the survey area.

The firm plans to conduct ground follow-up of the most significant historical workings, detailed mapping, as well as rock chip and soil sampling, which will be followed by geophysical surveys, per the filing.
