0923 GMT - Telefonica isn't showing a return to robust growth yet, ING analyst Jan Frederik Slijkerman writes in a note. The Spanish telecommunications group's progress to reduce its debts remain disappointing, Slijkerman says. However, the first-quarter performance in Spain looks encouraging, he adds. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, and lease expenses-- which measure the company's operating performance--in the Spanish market was 1.0% higher in the quarter.
