周四公布的数据显示，英国今年第一季度经济增速快于预期，商品和服务贸易逆差较上一季度进一步收窄。
根据英国国家统计局（Office for National Statistics）的数据，英国一季度国内生产总值（GDP）环比增长了0.7%。这比前一季度0.1%的增速有所加快，也超过了市场预期。
英国国家统计局指出，这是由服务业增长0.7%和制造业增长1.1%推动的。建筑业没有增长。
第一季度GDP同比增长了1.3%，也超过市场预期。但与2024年第四季度1.5%的同比增幅相比，增速有所放缓。
英国国家统计局的另一项数据显示，截至3月份的三个月，英国商品和服务贸易逆差总额缩小了36亿英镑，至66亿英镑。
第一季度货物贸易逆差收窄43亿英镑，至552亿英镑；服务贸易顺差收窄约7亿英镑，至486亿英镑。
来自非欧盟国家的进口下降了6亿英镑，降幅为2.5%，而来自欧盟的进口增长了2亿英镑，增幅为0.9%。
英国对美国的商品出口连续第四个月增长，第一季度增长了24亿英镑。从美国进口的商品增长13亿英镑。
