Corporacion America Airports (CAAP) reported Friday that total passenger traffic rose 14% year over year in April to 6.9 million passengers.
International passenger traffic increased by 14.1%, domestic traffic grew by 13.5%, while transit traffic was up 16.5% from a year earlier, the company said.
In Argentina, which accounted for over 60% of total growth, passenger traffic rose 16.4% year over year, with international traffic up 21.1% and domestic traffic up 13.9%, Corporacion America Airports said.
The company said passenger traffic grew in Brazil by 16.8%, in Uruguay by 17.1%, in Italy by 11.2%, and in Armenia by 7.8%.
Ecuador was the only market to post a decline, down 1.8% year over year, Corporacion America Airports said.
Cargo volume declined by 2.3% in April, while total aircraft movements increased by 11.3%, the company said.
