BlockBeats 消息，5 月 16 日，据彭博社报道，总部位于美国田纳西州纳什维尔的五三银行（Fifth Third Bancorp.）大约五年前就开始与加密货币公司建立合作关系，但一直没有进行重大投资，直到监管环境变得更加明朗。根据该行战略主管的说法，这一时机现在已经到来。
五三银行首席战略官 Ben Hoffman 表示，在建立了一小部分使用该行存款账户和支付能力的加密客户群后，该银行正在考虑如何进一步扩大其加密业务。这些客户使用该行服务来处理工资发放、收入接收等运营事务。
据悉，美国五三银行，其前身可以追溯到 1858 年创立于俄亥俄州辛辛提那俄亥俄谷的俄亥俄谷银行（Bank of the Ohio Valley）。1871 年，俄亥俄谷银行被美国第三国民银行（Third National Bank）收购，上个世纪初，第三国民银行与第五国民银行（Fifth National Bank）合并，合并后的银行更名为五三银行（Fifth Third Bank）。
