Lunnon Metals (ASX:LM8) said assay results for drilling at the Defiance West target at its Kambalda gold-nickel project in Western Australia showed significant gold intersections, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The drilling program was co-funded by the Western Australian government's Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety exploration incentive scheme.
It reported significant intercepts of one meter at 8.5 grams per tonne grade of gold and 0.4 meters at 7.02 g/t grade of gold, containing visible gold.
Its shares rose 2% in recent trading on Friday.
