据参考消息援引美媒报道，当地时间5月15日，在卡塔尔首都多哈与企业高管会面时，美国总统特朗普表示，他已向苹果公司首席执行官库克明确表示，他不希望这家美国科技巨头在印度生产产品。

此前，印度政府已于本月12日向世界贸易组织（WTO）提议，拟对部分美国商品加征报复性关税，以此回应美国以“保障措施”为由对印度钢铝产品征收的25%关税。

“我对库克说：朋友，我待你很好，因为你要在美国投资5000亿美元。但现在我听说你正在印度四处建厂。我不希望你在印度建厂。”特朗普说。

他还表示，印度是全世界“关税最高的国家之一”，并称印度已经在与美国的谈判中提出可以对美国产品实现零关税。

据美媒报道，此前苹果公司一直在印度等国建设新的产能，并准备在未来几年让印度能够提供iPhone全球产能的四分之一。

而就在本周，印度政府还称拟对部分美国商品加征报复性关税，并强调这一反制措施旨在通过“实质等效”的贸易调整，平衡美方举措造成的经济损失。
