PayPal (PYPL) entered a partnership with Perplexity to allow US consumers to place orders or avail of services via the Perplexity Pro platform chat interface starting in the summer, Perplexity said Wednesday.
As part of the agreement, US consumers can check out with PayPal or Venmo when they ask Perplexity, which is backed by Nvidia (NVDA), to find products, book travel, or buy tickets, the company said.
Processes like payment, invoicing, shipping, and tracking will be managed using PayPal's account linking, tokenized wallet, and passkey checkout flows, potentially eliminating the need for passwords, according to a statement.
