NWTN (NWTN) said Friday it has named Benjamin Zhai as global chief executive.
Zhai previously served as CEO of Canoo (Go EV) China, and Shenzhen Talent Group.
Under Zhai, NWTN will set up a smart industrial park in Abu Dhabi, among other initiatives, as the company aims to transform from a new energy vehicle maker to a "smart technology platform," it said.
NWTN shares were down 8.7% in recent premarket activity.
