伯克希尔董事会已全票通过决议，现任非保险业务副董事长的格雷格·阿贝尔将于2026年1月1日出任总裁兼CEO，巴菲特将留任董事长。
不过巴菲特强调，自己仍能敏锐把握投资机遇。这位价值投资大师素以善于在市场动荡时逢低收购著称。“对于20年、40年甚至60年前就擅长决策的领域，我现在依然游刃有余，”他表示，“当市场恐慌时我仍能发挥作用——价格下跌或众人恐惧时我不会畏惧……这确实与年龄无关。”
