New Fortress Energy (NFE) said Tuesday one of its subsidiaries entered a three-year charter agreement with Energia 2000 for its Energos Freeze floating storage and regasification unit.
Under the agreement, New Fortress Energy's floating storage unit will be deployed to Energia 2000's liquefied natural gas import terminal at the Pepillo Salcedo port in the Dominican Republic and commence operations in September, the company said.
Energia 2000 will leverage the Energos Freeze for LNG regasification services to generate power to meet the rising regional industrial energy demand, according to a statement.
