Litchfield Minerals (ASX:LMS) said assay results were delayed due to "unforeseen logistical and laboratory issues," according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The samples were collected around one week after drilling concluded, however, logistical issues on the part of the transport company resulted in a two-week delay in delivering the samples to a South Australian laboratory.
The laboratory said that its analytical equipment experienced operational issues, and the samples were redirected to a facility in Western Australia, where they are expected to arrive on Friday.
The Western Australia lab indicated that final assay results will be available around two weeks after delivery.
