BlockBeats News, May 15th, according to CNN's report, Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, stated that despite progress in tariff negotiations, the possibility of an economic recession is still not ruled out. Speaking at JPMorgan's annual conference in Paris on Thursday, Dimon said: "I'm not going to take the risk of a recession off the table at this time."
Previously, JPMorgan's economists had lowered the risk of the U.S. economy entering a recession from 60% to below 50%. The market reacted strongly to the positive progress in the US-China trade negotiations, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average surging by 1100 points at one point. Dimon stated that although he does not frequently meet with President Trump, he maintains communication with government officials.
