智通财经APP获悉，一位知情人士表示，印度贸易部长Piyush Goyal预计将于5月17日至20日前往美国，与特朗普政府官员举行会谈。该知情人士透露称，Piyush Goyal预计将与美国贸易代表格里尔(Jamieson Greer)和商务部长卢特尼克(Howard Lutnick)会面，就双边贸易协议进行谈判。
知情人士补充称，谈判将包括印度提出的对部分美国商品征收报复性关税。根据周一的一份通知，印度向世界贸易组织(WTO)表示，印度拟对美国生产并出口至印度的部分产品征收关税，以对抗美国对印度钢铝制品征收关税的做法。
此外，知情人士表示，由印度首席贸易谈判代表Rajesh Agrawal率领的一个团队也将于5月19日至22日前往美国，讨论市场准入、原产地规则和非关税措施等问题。
