SBS Transit (SGX:S61) is set to introduce an intelligent bus braking system in Singapore, according to a media release on Monday.
The company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese AI firm Streamax and Singapore's TNT Surveillance to develop a responsive and adaptive braking system (RABS).
In comparison to the traditional emergency braking systems, RABS will provide controlled and gradual deceleration, thus decreasing the likelihood of collisions or passenger injury.
