BLACKPOOL/LONDON, May 14, 2025 - Motorola Solutions Inc. has announced the extension of its contract with Lancashire Constabulary for the digital policing app Pronto until 2029. This extension is part of a broader effort to modernize policing, allowing the constabulary's 3,500-plus front-line officers and staff to spend more time in local communities. The contract also includes the purchase of 1,750 new body cameras to enhance evidence collection. The Pronto app, praised for its ease of use, allows officers to access records and file reports from anywhere, significantly reducing paperwork. Additionally, the integration of Motorola's V500 body cameras and M500 in-car video systems with Pronto is set to provide real-time video capabilities, transforming incident response and evidence gathering. This technological advancement is expected to improve decision-making, reduce response times, and enhance safety for both officers and the community.
