Barclays' New AT1 Bond Fair Value Seen at 8.4%-Plus Coupon -- Market Talk

1237 GMT - Fair value on Barclays' new sterling-denominated additional tier 1 bond would likely be at 8.4%-plus coupon, CreditSights analysts Paola Biraschi and Simon Adamson say in a note. The 6.3-year AT1 bond has an initial price talk in the area of 8.75%, LSEG data show. It is callable on a first call date of September 15, 2031. AT1 bonds are debt securities issued by banks to meet capital requirements. Other banks that have issued AT1 bonds this week include Sabadell, AIB Group, and Erste Group. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
