5月15日，南戈壁（01878）发布公告，公布了截至2025年3月31日的第一季度未经审计财务及经营业绩。
公告显示，公司在2025年第一季度录得经营业务亏损1570万美元，而2024年同期为盈利3210万美元。该亏损主要受到平均实现售价下降和产品组合改变的影响，销售量虽从2024年的110万吨增至210万吨，但平均实现售价每吨降至59.5美元，较2024年同期的79.5美元显著下降。
此外，公司在此期间的销售成本也大幅上升，达到1.34亿美元，相较于2024年同期的4553万美元有显著增长。公司表示，销售成本的增加与产品组合的变化及向更远目的地销售更多产品有关。公告还提到，公司在与蒙古政府的磋商中，部分矿藏被指定为具有重要战略意义，可能影响未来的经营权益。至2025年3月31日，公司记录的额外税款和税务罚款为4550万美元，其中包括2650万美元的应付税务罚款和1900万美元的额外税务滞纳金罚款拨备。
