EDU Holdings Plans Voluntary Exit From ASX, Off-Market Buyback; Shares Climb 27%

EDU Holdings (ASX:EDU) plans to voluntarily delist from the Australian Securities Exchange, according to a Wednesday filing.

The education-focused company cited regulatory uncertainty within the international student market and the costs of remaining listed as the reasons for its proposed removal from the ASX.

The company also intends to launch an off-market buyback of its shares.

Its exit from the ASX is expected on Aug. 6.

EDU Holdings' shares climbed nearly 27% in recent Thursday trade.
