路透香港5月15日 - 对于有报导指大幅裁员，香港恒生银行0011.HK周四回应称，该行不时检视业务组合及营运，并就业务架构作出适切调整和简化重叠职能，最近就此进行业务调整，受影响的员工数目占银行核心业务员工总数约1%。
恒生银行的声明并表示，同时，因应市场变化而创造新职位，为确保员工有公平的机会，所以该行会进行透明的遴选程序，让所有受影响的员工均有机会申请新职位。
香港星岛日报此前报导，汇丰控股0005.HK大举重组兼裁员，旗下不良贷款比率远高于市场的恒生银行据悉自3月尾下旬发放花红后罕有地进行较为广泛的裁员行动，个别部门削减幅度约10%至50%不等。
恒生银行周四一度下跌1.2%至110.3港元，早盘收低0.63%。（完）
