Global Uranium and Enrichment (ASX:GUE) said that Powder River Basin, a 50-50 joint venture between Global Uranium and Snow Lake Energy, developed an exploration program for the Pine Ridge uranium project in Wyoming, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The joint venture used the existing 1,214 drill holes on the project to develop a complete geological model.
It used historical data to stake an additional 937 claims at the project and increase its landholding to a total of around 37,387 acres.
The results from the data and geological review led to the prioritization of drill targets in the area, with around 38,000 meters of drilling to be completed during the initial exploration program.
The firm's shares rose 3% in recent trading on Thursday.
