11:39 ET -- Walmart's commentary about choppy income growth in the coming quarters seems to be weighing on shares, but the retailer's top-line momentum coming out of 1Q should offer some solace, Mizuho analysts David Bellinger and Declan Kelley say in a research note. Pull-forward of demand due to expected tariffs was minimal, the analysts say. Trends improved as the quarter progressed, from a weak February to a normalized March and then closing with a strong April. Some of the share price pressure today is likely related to how well the stock was performing heading into the report, and investors will likely buy in on the pullback, the analysts say, maintaining an outperform rating on the stock.
