BlockBeats News, May 15th, According to CoinDesk, Nathan McCauley, CEO of the crypto bank Anchorage Digital, refuted reports during the Toronto Consensus 2025 conference that the company is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), stating that the reports are "purely baseless." Previously, Barron's had reported that a DHS sub-unit's anti-money laundering working group was reaching out to former employees of the company to understand its business operations. McCauley stated that the company had conducted a legal review and confirmed that there is no investigation.

Anchorage Digital is known for its strict compliance and had just received a BitLicense from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) in December of last year, which is one of the most difficult regulatory licenses to obtain in the crypto industry.
