据四位知情人士透露，SEC 正在调查 Coinbase 是否在过往披露文件中虚报用户数量——这项始于拜登政府的调查在特朗普任内仍在继续。此前未被曝光的调查聚焦于 Coinbase 在证券备案和宣传材料中宣称拥有超 1 亿“认证用户”的指标。
