Odaily星球日报讯 澳大利亚一起刑事案件判决可能引发 6.4 亿美元比特币税收退款。维多利亚州法官 Michael O'Connell 在审理一起涉及 81.6 个比特币(现价值约 1300 万美元)的盗窃案时裁定,比特币应被视为货币而非应税资产。该判决直接挑战了澳大利亚税务局(ATO)自 2014 年以来的立场,后者一直将加密货币归类为资本利得税(CGT)资产。税务律师 Adrian Cartland 指出,若判决在上诉中维持,可能为比特币交易者带来总计 10 亿澳元(约 6.4 亿美元)的退税。ATO 目前尚未确认具体退税金额。值得注意的是,法官在判决中将比特币类比为澳元而非股票、黄金等资产,这一法律解释可能使比特币交易免于现行 CGT 制度。ATO 此前规定,任何比特币处置行为(包括兑换法币、交易其他加密货币或购买商品)均构成 CGT 应税事件。(Cointelegraph)
