Pure Storage's Portworx Rolls Out Kubernetes-Based Virtual Machine Product With Red Hat

Pure Storage (PSTG) said Monday its Portworx unit has launched a new virtualization-focused storage product in collaboration with Red Hat, aimed at reducing costs and simplifying operations for enterprise virtual machine workloads running on Kubernetes.

The company said the new offering, Portworx for KubeVirt, integrates with Red Hat's OpenShift Virtualization Engine to support virtual machine deployment and management within container environments.

The product is designed to help businesses transition to Kubernetes infrastructure while maintaining flexibility in how and when they modernize applications, Pure Storage said.

Shares of Pure Storage were down nearly 1% in recent Monday trading.
