据《无锡日报》消息，5月17日，在“5·19中国旅游日”来临之际，第20届徐霞客国际旅游节在江苏省江阴国乐岛开幕。

　　新东方教育科技集团董事长俞敏洪受聘成为徐霞客文旅学院院长，

　　无锡拈花湾文化旅游发展有限公司董事长吴国平受聘成为徐霞客文旅学院名誉院长，并将在当天下午为徐霞客旅游学院揭牌。

　　在第四届江阴发展大会暨2023经贸洽谈会期间，俞敏洪曾提到自己能为家乡做的三件事，其中一件就是帮助江阴办一所旅游学院。

　　“就叫做徐霞客旅游学院，我觉得全中国没有一个地方，比江阴更适合做文旅学院的，因为徐霞客这个名字比什么都强。”俞敏洪当时说。

　　今天（17日）上午，回到家乡任新职的俞敏洪表示：“我全力以赴！”他说，徐霞客是“读万卷书、行万里路”的典型之一，自己在大学时期就读了《徐霞客游记》，人生也因此受到了很大的影响，当下也在文旅的道路上亲身实践。

　　作为徐霞客文旅学院的院长，俞敏洪表示，“第一次有人叫我院长”，他会用自己积累的各种资源为家乡做点事情，“这一直是我的心愿，此次徐霞客文旅学院成立，我的内心无比激动，也对办好徐霞客文旅学院充满信心。”

　　俞敏洪出生于1962年9月，江苏江阴人，民盟盟员，新东方创始人，新东方教育科技集团董事长、总裁，中国民主同盟中央教育委员会副主任。

　　2023年7月，俞敏洪出任新成立的北京新东方文旅有限公司董事长。同年，他入选十大经济年度人物和《财富》中国最具影响力的50位商界领袖。
