26 岁的埃里克·康瑟尔（Eric Council）于今年 2 月承认串谋实施身份盗窃罪。法庭文件中，涉案身份属于一名名为“CL”的美国证券交易委员会（SEC）员工，该员工有权访问该机构的 X 账户。Council 承认冒充 CL 是为了控制他们的电话号码，进而控制 SEC 的 X 帐户。其同谋者最终向他支付了价值 50,000 美元的比特币和其他加密货币。
