Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) said reverse circulation drilling at the Lakeview prospect, Comet Vale project in Western Australia, intersected a parallel structure containing high-grade gold mineralization on a newly-identified parallel structure, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It returned a significant intercept of 12 meters at 9.2 grams per tonne grade of gold from 60 meters. Over 10 mineralized parallel structures greater than one kilometer in length were recently identified at the prospect and the greater project.
Environmental and soil sampling surveys have been completed at Lakeview, and the results are due in the coming weeks and months, which will help in the targeting and permitting of further drilling programs. Various geophysical surveys have been planned to help target mineralization.
It continues to conduct drilling at the Lakeview prospect. The option to acquire the remaining 49% of the Comet Vale Project is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
