Resource Mining (ASX:RMI) said it is conducting copper-gold auger and soil sample analysis at the Mpanda copper-gold project in Tanzania, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Data from the sample analysis work combined with exploration results for the Stalike and Kabungu prospects will be used to generate drilling targets.

It also mapped artisanal mine workings in and near the Mpanda project and collected rock samples. It is also considering near-term production opportunities at the prospects by utilizing nearby existing third-party processing infrastructure.

Its shares jumped 15% in recent trading on Monday.
