消息面上，中国建材此前公布第一季度报告，按中国会计准则，营业总收入366.37亿人民币，同比下降1%。归属股东净亏损由上年同期13.5亿元，收窄至5.17亿元。
花旗发布研报称，在中国建材公布首季业绩及管理层提供最新指引后，更新对其估值模型。该行引入2027年预测，并上调今明两年盈测分别8%及10%，以反映水泥及熟料单位毛利预测上调。该行降中建材目标价由5.4港元下调至4.2港元，相当于预测今年市盈率7.8倍，以反映现时行业及市场环境，评级“买入”。由于供应更具纪律及煤炭成本下滑，料今年利润率有望扩张，部分被销量预测下调所抵消。
