Albany International said its board appointed Jairaj Chetnani as interim chief financial officer, effective May 23.
Chetnani, the company's VP -- investor relations and treasurer, will succeed Robert Starr.
Starr joined the company in 2023 and is stepping down to evaluate and pursue other opportunities, it said Monday.
Chetnani joined Albany International in 2023 as VP -- FP&A and treasurer before his current role. In addition to serving as interim CFO, he will be principal accounting officer.
The company is conducting a search for a new CFO.
Albany International develops and makes engineered components. Its two core businesses are Machine Clothing and Albany Engineered Composites.
