Manulife (MFC) said Monday it has formed a joint venture with Midwest Fiber Networks called Lakefront Fiber.
Lakefront Fiber will serve hyperscale, carrier, and municipal customers using Midwest Fiber's fiber network, the company said.
Manulife said Lakefront Fiber has completed its first transaction by acquiring about 650 route miles of network assets in Illinois from Everstream.
