消息面上，5月19日，雷军微博表示，小米战略新品发布会定在5月22日晚7点，并称这次重磅新品特别多：手机SoC芯片小米玄戒o1，小米15SPro，小米平板7 Ultra，小米首款SUV小米YU7 等。另外，雷军还发文称，小米玄戒O1采用第二代3nm工艺制程，力争跻身第一梯队旗舰体验。他表示，2021年小米做出重启SoC大芯片业务的决定，与造车项目同时推进。玄戒项目自此立项，并制定了“十年500亿”的长期研发计划。此外，雷军今早发文称，小米玄戒o1已开始大规模量产。搭载小米玄戒o1两款旗舰将同时发布。
天风证券指出，预计小米发布自研芯片后，国产手机高端竞争格局或开始加速变化，而头部具备自研底层硬件能力的手机厂商的市占率提升或是小米估值提升的核心逻辑之一，此外自研芯片带来的关注度、用户体验和公司科技形象更为重要。目前来看小米在手机、OS、芯片层面的多年自研和投入已逐渐开始兑现，此外手机、OS、芯片的协同效应正在汽车业务持续发展下推动，例如自研芯片或在手机以外的产品端使用，系统的优化规模效应或跨平台体现。
