《Debtwire》引述消息指出，新世界发展(00017.HK) 目前正筹组两项融资，包括一笔634亿元、主要用作为今年及明年到期债务再融资的贷款；另一笔则为以尖沙咀Victoria Dockside(维港文化汇)作优先抵押的156亿元新贷款，料主要用于现有项目发展及偿还债券，据报将由德银承销。
集团至今暂获银行贷款承诺约200亿元，惟部分持有少量新世界无抵押贷款的非内地及香港银行，要求新世界到期时还款，意味不想参与再融资。金管局据报正与有关银行开会，了解其想退出的原因。金管局发言人回应称，不评论个别机构事宜。
报道指出，新世界于4月底已至少获中国银行(03988.HK) 及汇控(00005.HK) 等银行的承诺，参与其再融资贷款，有关贷款筹组定于6月30日结束。而新世界母企周大福企业将为再融资提供安慰函，以示对新世界的支持，惟安慰函一般不具法律效力。
