1848 ET - With plans to expand its current beauty assortment and a partnership with L'Oreal, Walmart appears to be pushing harder into the growing beauty market, Mizuho analysts said in a research note. The retailer is currently having a company-wide beauty sales event and piloting an in-store "Beauty Bar" in 40 locations, which looks like a test to find the right approach to in-store operations for the category, the analysts said. Beauty represents an early stage segment for Walmart, and looks like a key opportunity to crack into a growing market worth around $120B, they said. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
